17 Aug Importance of Ayurveda
In my first blog I would like to describe about AYURVEDA – “The science of life ”.
Unlike Allopalty, Ayurveda has the potential to make the body disease free. No doubt there are limitations. Where Allopathy suppresses the disease which can re-occur any time, Ayurveda expels it out.
स्वस्थस्य स्वास्थ्यरक्षणं | आतुरस्य विकार प्रशमनं
Yes, this is the PRAYOJANAM (AIM) of Ayurveda i.e. to protect the healthy person from diseases and to make the affected one disease free.
But this is possible only if we follow the principles of Ayurveda treatment i.e do’s and don’ts, the diet, the daily routine i.e. what to eat, what to not, what to do, what time we should wake up & sleep. Not only the daily chorus but also in the whole year.
Because there are six seasons in a year i.e. Shishir, Basant, Grishma, Varsha, Shard, Hemant. How to adjust our body in these six ritus (seasons) what precautions we should take during the change of season (Ritu Parivartan).
Ayurveda also explains how to take care from conception to birth and till the end of life. All the (SANSKARAS) milestone of development from birth till death are clearly mentioned in AYURVEDA. So if we properly follow these instructions, we will not fall sick.
In my next blog, I will let you know how to manage a seasonal disease like cough, cold, allergy, asthma, nasobronchial allergies.
